El pasado 22 de septiembre de 2022, el Programa de las Naciones Unidas para el Desarrollo (PNUD, por sus siglas en inglés), anunció la ejecución de un préstamo de 46,7 millones de euros (45,25 millones de dólares) para apoyar la industria biofarmacéutica de Cuba y mejorar la capacidad de respuesta nacional ante enfermedades como la COVID-19.
